Homes are certainly increasing in value, with a new record set recently for a waterfront residence that sold for $3.15 million. Many inner streets belong to the historic conservation zone to preserve the uniqueness of the town and there’s plenty of activity in retail: “There are a number of upmarket homewares stores, cafes and gourmet food shops; Port Elliot continues to enjoy its reputation as a tightly held, exclusive town on the south coast,” says Beth.
