This respected photographer captured the lovely images of fashion designer Jenny Kee’s garden in Blackheath, NSW, on page 78.

Known for his work in Australia’s leading interiors and lifestyle magazines, Jason says he’s become increasingly interested in shooting gardens. His photographs illustrate landscaper Michael Bates’s latest book The New Australian Garden (Murdoch Books, $59.99), which includes a chapter on Jenny Kee’s garden in the NSW Blue Mountains. “I loved Jenny’s garden — it sat comfortably in the native bush that surrounded it,” Jason says. Although his home city of Sydney has “beautiful trees and natural pockets,” Jason likes to escape to an angophora forest in the Bouddi National Park on the Central Coast of NSW. “I took my wife there on our second date.”
