The ma­jor ser­vice hub for Queens­land’s Cas­sowary Coast Re­gion, Innisfail is a lush, trop­i­cal des­ti­na­tion with a pop­u­la­tion th of of around 10,000. lo­cated 90 kilo­me­tres south of cairns at the junc­tion of the north and south john stone rivers, agriculture is the dom­i­nant in­dus­try, with ba­nanas, su­gar cane and trop­i­cal fruit well es­tab­lished.
