ANNA BRADDOCK

-

CERAMICIST, 42 Anna studied visual art at university and later founded Married to the Sea Ceramics. She lives on the Sunshine Coast with her daughter, Poppy, 13, and chocolate labradors, Oskar and Cleo.

What do you love about living on the coast? We are so fortunate, where we live, to be surrounded by National Park and clear ocean. Our lifestyle is relaxed and natural. How would you describe your style? Classic Australian coastal and country style. Growing up on the Fraser Coast and with the Sunshine Coast as my backyard, I have always loved the sea, space and natural beauty. What’s your typical everyday outfit? Most of my day is spent in the studio so I wear jeans or shorts, a plaited leather belt, collared shirt and my favourite linen apron, with either R.M. Williams boots or my Golden Goose shoes. What are your wardrobe essentials? A good pair of running shoes, Jets swimmers, Helen Kaminski hat, my favourite Made in Mada shopping bag, Jac+ Jack towel, a Sportscraft or Frank & Eileen shirt, white shorts, AG jeans and a shirt dress to throw over swimmers. Do you have any favourite clothing labels? Lee Mathews, Sportscraft, Ralph Lauren, Frank & Eileen and Joie. Where do you love to shop? My favourite local stores in Noosa are Bowery 475, Signature on Hastings, Ready Or Not and Waterlily. What are your go-to beauty products? My beauty bag and regime are minimal: Crème De La Mer moisturiser, Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector and Aesop products. What do you never leave home without? At the moment I’m training for the New York City Marathon, representing White Ribbon Australia, so I always have my running shoes with me so I can get a run in! Also my favourite The Goods leather clutch, a Stanley Classic vacuum flask, a shopping bag, pearl earrings, my art journal, hat and sunnies. If I’m going to the beach my old fishing creel is perfect to throw in everything I need. What inspires you? My daughter Poppy — her passion for acting, dancing and drama is endless. I love her energy. How do you manage work-life balance? I’m somewhat chaotic, but I love what I do! Having my studio at home is fabulous. Visit marriedtothesea.com.au
