TV PRESENTER AND JOURNALIST, 35 Journalist Edwina loves to escape to Warramba, the farm she owns with husband Neil Varcoe, 37, a digital media executive, in Capertee Valley, NSW. How would you describe your style? My husband jokes that I dress like Ellen — jackets, jeans, oversized shirts — the complete opposite to what I wear on TV, which is often figure hugging. From underwear and shoes to tops and trousers, comfort is always my first priority. What are your style essentials? J.crew boyfriend jeans. Country Road jeggings — I have two pairs in every colour. And hats — an Akubra for the farm and a Carolina Lifestyle Label Panama for the city. What’s your typical daytime outfit? Blazer, T-shirt, jeans and sneakers. During the week, I get dressed at 3am so it has to be easy. At the farm I wear a lot of Neil’s old shirts, and linen dresses if we are doing something fancy. What do you always pack when travelling? Dyson hair dryer, Go-to face masks, metal water bottle (I ask the flight attendants to fill it up at the start of every flight and I try to drink it all) and running shoes — just in case there is time to go for a walk. What are your favourite clothing labels? Country Road, Jac+ Jack, Nice Martin and My General Store. Do you have any favourite accessories? I wear an Apple Watch to keep me accountable and on the move. My beautiful engagement and wedding rings. What are your hair and beauty essentials? Eleven Give Me Hold flexible hairspray, Go-to lip balm, Giorgio Armani Face Fabric, Alpha H Liquid Gold and sunscreen — always. What do you never leave home without? Face wipes — as soon as I leave work, I wipe all my make-up off. And my phone, unfortunately. What or who are your style influences? I’m addicted to Pinterest and Instagram. I love the casual elegance of Michelle Glew Ross and I wish I could style a room like Lynda Gardener. My best friend, Pip Brett of Jumbled in Orange, is my go-to for style advice. She loves colour and I love beige but she always knows the answer to any style question. What’s the best style advice you’ve ever received? Be yourself — everyone else is taken. How do you manage work/life balance? I don’t. I work really, really hard and then I crash. Then I get up and do it all over again. It’s one of the reasons we bought the farm. It gives us a place for time together. I’ve found weeding can be very therapeutic. Follow @edwina_b on Instagram.
