GRAZIER, 37 Maree runs a cattle property and a bed-andbreakfast stay at Conondale Station in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast hinterland.
What do love about living in the country? Everything — clean air, spring-fed water, undulating hills, peacefulness. How would you describe your style? Simple, feminine and natural. What are your wardrobe essentials? Comfortable shoes, Burberry trench, cashmere knits, Citizens of Humanity jeans, cotton T-shirts, Ray-ban sunglasses and a colourful silk scarf. What’s your typical daytime outfit? When I’m around horses and cattle, my Cowgirl Tuff jeans and a Polo Ralph Lauren long-sleeve shirt, a silk scarf with either Ariat boots or slip-on Twisted X shoes. For casual wear, Bassike T-shirts and either Citizens of Humanity jeans or denim cut-off shorts with my white Converse shoes or Chanel espadrilles. What do you always pack when travelling? Byredo Gypsy Water perfume. What are your favourite clothing labels? Bassike, Scanlan Theodore, Gucci and Polo Ralph Lauren. Where do you love to shop? I buy most things online. West Elm, Pottery Barn and Provincial Home Living for furnishings, and Net-a-porter and Shopbop for clothing and accessories. Do you have any favourite accessories? My Maya Brenner initial necklaces. What are your go-to hair and beauty essentials? I love QV skincare — it’s very affordable and works well with my skin. I wear the SPF 30 moisturising day cream whenever I’m working outside. I don’t wear very much makeup but I love YSL Touche Éclat to highlight, Dior lip gloss and Kevyn Aucoin mascara from Mecca. I wash my hair with Sachajuan shampoo and conditioner, and I also love Aveda Air Control hair spray — it gives my hair texture when it needs it. What do you never leave home without? My iphone, sunglasses, Gucci purse and Lucas’ Papaw ointment — and Louis, my kelpie. Who are your style influences? I follow fashion bloggers on Instagram for inspiration — Sara Crampton and Kate Waterhouse are my favourites. What inspires you? My white Brahman cows. They are the loves of my life and as challenging as they’re at times, they’ve taught me so much about patience, friendship, trust and love.
