IN 1746 Jean-Henri Dollfus began producing fabrics in France. DMC has created a 24 carat gold keepsake; exactly 17,460 Golden Skeins to honour the year DMC was founded. Though a precious collector’s item, the golden skein has the same soft flexibility of DMC cotton, and has very good resistance to oxidation in an unpolluted environment, so could be used to carefully embroider a very special project.
