SKETCHBOOK SECRETS: Sarah Cookland

We take a peek at a designer’s early ideas for one of their projects

-

Sarah created our cute egg cosy on page 27. “I start by brainstorming ideas onto paper, I’m simply doodling and playing around with ideas. If it’s possible I will observe the item I’m going to design to gain more inspiration as it’s the purest form. Fortunately I live opposite a farm so for this Easter chick commission I didn’t have to look far. I love finding out the little details and try to incorporate them into my designs. ” www.sarahcooklanddesigns.etsy. com
