Cross Stitcher

SKETCHBOOK SECRETS: Sally Wilson

We take a peek at a designer’s early ideas for one of their projects

-

Sally is the owner and designer of Caterpillar Cross Stitch. “Alphabet art is an essential item for a child’s bedroom! My daughter, Felicity, loves singing her ABCs and pointing things out, so I thought it would be a great idea to make a game of it. I used three to four different shades of the same colour to add depth and give that ‘watercolour’ vintage style. I decided to use a mix of foods, animals and everyday items children would recognise.” www.caterpillarcrossstitch.com
