Make a… feather headdress

Step 1 CUT

out your perforated paper feathers, leaving one blank square outside the stitching. Cut felt to fit the back of each feather and then glue or sew in place.

Step 2 SNIP

six lengths of cord or crochet cotton, long enough so that when plaited together in twos, they will fit around your head. Tie the ends together to hold.

Step 3 CUT

a length of cord and thread through a large bead. Knot to the bead and then thread the ends through a large-eyed needle. Pass through the headband, positioning the feather at the back. Tie the thread ends in a knot and then add a small amount of fabric glue to the cord to hold it firmly to the headband. Place glue inside the bead and push the end of a perforated paper feather into the bead. Repeat for the other feathers.
