Step1 COMPLETE

your stitching, then make a paper template using the template given here. Place the template centrally over the stitching, and then adding a seam allowance of 1.25cm (½in), cut out the shape from the fabric. Repeat using the same trace for the backing fabric.

Step2 PLACE

the stitching and the backing right sides together, and then stitch around outer edge with a 1.25cm (½in) seam allowance, leaving the shorter end open for turning. Trim the seam allowance, clip the curves and the corners, then turn to the right side.

Step 3 INSERT

one end of an elastic hair band into the middle of the open side, and then carefully stitch down the seam to hold the elastic firmly in place. Sew a button to correspond with the elastic closure on the other end of the mug wrap.
