Tell us a little bit about you and your crafty business!

I am artist/maker from Sheffield and I mainly create mountain, winter and outdoors-inspired artwork and embroidery. I have a degree in Fine Art and started doing cross stitch as a child. I first started by trying out a few of my mum’s Christmas cross stitch patterns and from there on I was addicted.

What inspires you design-wise about Christmas?

As a skier, I love the snow and a lot of my work is inspired by winter mountain landscapes. Snow-covered trees are a reoccurring theme in my work.

What’s your favourite part of the festive period?

I love the build-up to Christmas, buying presents for loved ones,

decorating the house, all the Christmas music and of course the lovely food and drink. I still dream of waking up to snow on Christmas morning, but that hasn’t happened since I was living in the French Alps a few years ago.

What stitchy presents are you hoping to make – and do you have your eye on anything for yourself?

It has become a bit of a tradition to make a tree decoration every Christmas for family members, so there will be some of those to make. For myself, I would like to take up quilting so some equipment/ supplies might be on my Christmas list.
