We asked our fans on Facebook, “Which cross stitch project are you most proud of?”

DEBORAH JULIA WHITE A large Victorian dolls’ house. It looks me a long time to complete and was very complicated. It was the second project I ever did, the first being a small bookmark! So it was quite ambitious, and there were a few occasions when I wondered why I started it. I eventually finished it, and it looks wonderful if I do say so myself!

HEATHER COOKE An 8x10in portrait of my husband that I did for him before we got married. It was a stitch-a-photo kit from Mary Maxim, and it is really nice. Over 10,000 stitches, and it took me more than a year to do it.

MIRANDA C. SKAGGS My current Mirabilia called ‘Moon Flowers’. I fell in love with the pattern many years ago when I first was learning how to stitch. It is full of beads and metallics, and I know I couldn’t have done it without practice. It’s very big and love the colours.

DEBY YOUNG I can’t choose. I’m proud of all of mine. From the first one I did back in the 80s with loads of mistakes to the one I finished last week.

LEANNE HULSE The Silent Night piece I am most proud of (issue 364). I worked on it for weeks and I added beads to it. I love it and love the colours. I learned cross stitch last year in the first lockdown and now I’m addicted. My husband bought me a subscription to your magazine for Christmas.

SARAH BUNCE Buds of May, from Spring 2020! It really showed how far I’d come after taking up cross stitch at the beginning of first lockdown. The design came from the first CrossStitcher magazine I bought.
