Cross Stitcher

OVER TO YOU…

-

We asked our fans on Facebook, “What’s the most useful cross stitch item you’ve ever created?” SARAH ELLE WILLIAMS A needle book that was a free gift in CrossStitcher 304 back in 2016. Still going strong eight years later.

NIKI WALTON Coasters, which are a particular favourite because they can be made from any small design. I’ve made several for friends over the years, including for work friends as leaving gifts when they’ve moved to a new job, and it’s always lovely to catch up with them a year or two later and to hear that they still use the coaster I made for them.

ELISA BENSON I’m still using a coaster that I made in the 90s. And a key ring!

DIANA WATKINS Needle books and pincushions! I enjoy stitching them and then they add to my pleasure of stitching.

EM DAY A bookmark. I made it for my mum when I first started cross stitching. She still uses it now, nearly 30 years later.

MARCIE FORD Christmas tree decorations. Adding a person’s name and the year makes them a treasured keepsake.

URSULA MACLENNAN Needle books, I’m still using some that I made in the 90s.

HEATHER COOKE Baby bibs, a needlebook, and a ring. The needlebook was for me, the bibs and ring were gifts that I made for others.

ANN PASLEY My pillowcases, and seasonally the Christmas cake band and Advent calendar.

PRINCESS BOO Needle books, tree ornaments, and small designs for coaster cards. Though I love most big designs that you can lose yourself in.

MARILYN WAGNER Love my sunglasses case, (issue 398), they are well travelled and lots of comments.

LIZ DRAPER Cushion covers – with a bit of patchwork to frame the piece.

PEARL LEE Coasters and bookmarks for me as I use both on a daily basis.

DI FRANKS I replaced the cover for a footstool for my mother. 50 years old and still going strong.
