THE Melbourne Cup race may be on land, but that hasn’t stopped a yacht turning up to the festivities. A $2.2 million yacht called Mumm Grand Cordon has cruised into the Birdcade, courtesy of Maison Mumm.

The vessel ( pictured) has been christened with a bottle of Mumm champagne and “a daring performance” on the bow has been promised.
