Five Princess ships for Australia

-

PRINCESS Cruises yesterday released its plans for the 2021/22 Australian season, which will see the local deployment of Coral Princess and Royal Princess for the first time.

Also operating in local waters will be Emerald Princess and Sapphire Princess, along with Pacific Princess, of course all subject to cruising being able to resume in the region.

Princess Cruises Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, Stuart Allison, said the five-ship program underlined the cruise line’s strong commitment to the local market.

“The first of the cruises being offered are still a year away, and two years for the last voyages in the season,” Allison noted.

“We know that many of our guests wish to cruise again when the time is right and it is important that we have options available so that they can plan to resume holidaying at sea.

“Our new itineraries will give our Australian guests some holiday inspiration for the time when we will all be able to travel again,” he added.

A total of 95 departures will be on offer, with the 3,560 guest Royal Princess and the 3,080 passenger Emerald Princess to homeport in Sydney while Coral Princess, with capacity for 2,000 guests, will be based in Brisbane.

The 2,670 passenger Sapphire Princess will be homeported in Melbourne while the 670-guest “boutique” Pacific Princess will cruise on two different itineraries from Australia during the season.

Voyages on offer will include a Coral Princess world cruise, as well as a 28-night Australian circumnavigation, one-way trans-Tasman voyages, local coastal cruises and South Pacific trips.
