In Praise Of Sunset

Belgian outdoor furniture brand Tribu joined forces with Yabu Pushelberg to create a weather-resistant seating collection inspired by one of the most beautiful times to be outdoors: sunset. The Elio collection consists of a dining chair, easy chair, high-back lounge chair and sofa, each piece characterised by a rounded silhouette that draws inwards with a cocooning effect. The name refers to the Greek sun god Helios. The teak frame supports the woven acrylic seat primarily through the slanting legs. The weaving fuses heritage Belgian techniques with contemporary dyeing methods; in a single strand, 16 different colours of yarn are woven together. The result is a material with a gradient effect that mimics the touch of light and its silky dusk hues. In Singapore, Tribu is available from Xtra.
