TROYES ! NUITS" SAINT" GEORGES

DISTANCE 214KM TERRAIN FLAT

-

A post-stage glass of wine never did a Grand Tour rider any harm and for the winner here, among the renowned Burgundy vineyards, it’ll rarely taste better. The town of Nuits-Saint-Georges is the centre of the Côte de Nuits wine region and known for its dry red. The visit mirrors sister race Paris-Nice, which had a finish northwest in Chablis, famed for the Chardonnay of the same name. It’s another flat stage, and as the race heads back into the mountains for the weekend those sprinters without honours from the three opportunities so far will be anxious to pay back the work of their teammates. Crosswinds might be the biggest antagonist, and might be in play in the 40km loop of the finale.
