Weight 28g Included 3 lenses, hard case The Italian company Northwave keeps its costs down by manufacturing these glasses in China rather than at home, but there are few obvious compromises elsewhere. As with some other less expensive glasses you do have to apply a bit of pressure to change lenses, which is always worrying at first. The hinges also feel stiffer than some, and while they come with a hard case, it’s a somewhat bulky affair. The lenses are the usual trio: a dark category 3 lens for sunny rides and two lenses for lower-light conditions. Large slots at the top offer venting and – like the central strut that links to the nose-piece – doesn’t feel distracting.
