Weight 33g Included Case, cloth, three lenses, nose-piece, white lower rim Salice may be less well known than some other Italian eyewear brands but its glasses have been worn by the likes of Alessandro Petacchi and Mario Cipollini, so you’ll be in good company. Its new 016 RW sunnies (surely a year late?) come in probably the most complete package here, consisting of category 3, 1 and 0 lenses – enough for all riding conditions – along with a spare nose-piece and a spare white lower frame for maximum customisation options. The only downside to this is that the tough case is large and not that jersey pocket friendly. The plus sides are many: a comfortable rubber nose-piece and rubber-tipped arms, great protection and coverage from the wide one-piece lens, which has vents to prevent fogging. While swapping between the three lenses isn’t initially that intuitive, it’s straightforward and fuss free once you’ve seen Salice’s own video. The lens quality is very good, too.
