Distance: 128.9km/80 miles Grade: Very hard. Over 3800m of climbing is hard any time, but it’s the gradients that will do you in. Download: http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/ view/1578631837
GETTING THERE
We flew from Bristol into Geneva, which is the closest airport. If you want to stay in France, Lyon is also an option. Chambéry has an airport but there are no flights direct from the UK. If you’re not travelling by car, trains are available to and from Geneva, Seyssel and Chambéry.
WHERE TO STAY
In Seyssel we stayed at the Hotel Beau Sejour ( hotelseyssel.fr), which offers excellent food and secure outside bike storage. As an alternative, and to see more of the Haute-Savoie region, Annecy is just 25km away, and a perfect base to explore.
