SIZE DOES MATTER

STEFAN BÜHRER, Rides long distances in the high Alps on his road bike

-

Anyone who says size doesn’t matter, is wrong. Period. Well, at least when it’s about saddles. And I’m talking saddles here. It’s the most important contact point with my bike and therefore it has to be good. The mix of comfort, support and weight has to be in perfect balance, otherwise my ride turns into a nightmare. Luckily the Echelon puts back saddle-soreness to the ancient history by bringing a complete range of three saddle widths. Most cyclists, including myself, ride on a saddle that is too narrow. Resulting in painful, uncomfortable rides. Choosing a slightly wider saddle means more support to my sitbones and therefore more comfort for a longer period. Resulting in the end, in more comfort on longer rides. Now, who said size doesn’t matter?
