PIRELLI P ZERO VELO
£39.99
Weight 212g (25mm) Inflated width 27mm We’ve had several sets of Pirelli’s P Zero series running simultaneously in all three (23, 25 and 28mm) sizes, and the results have been excellent. Despite being a light and lively tyre under power the carcass comes up big in each size with a buoyant feel that compares well to the competition in terms of comfort and rough road rolling. Pirelli lays its motorbike-derived Smartnet Silica compound over the top and, while we can’t verify the ‘self-aligning molecule’ claims, we can testify that traction is great, particularly in the wet. Straightline speed is decent and puncture resistance is on par too. They cut up faster than average and you’ll have to wait for a tubeless option.
