Weight 226g (25mm) Inflated width 23mm The manufacturer behind a lot of value tyres came out with its own range a couple of years ago, but its flagship Apache isn’t as smooth or speedy as the competition. Weight is reasonable but it comes in significantly undersized with a pointed Moto GP ‘V’ design that a few brands have tried at various times. The single compound Continuum 66 mix makes it fast rolling on really smooth roads with Vee logo tread to squeeze water off the sloping shoulders. The noticeable lurch onto the sloped shoulders when leaning into turns and a less stable straight line track takes some getting used to. The small pointed carcass makes for a dull ride on rougher rides.
