Weight 247g (25mm) Inflated width 24.5mm Bontrager has done a great job of matching the durability and grip of modern race rubber to the looks and luxury ride feel of a traditional open tubular tyre. The flat pack, skin wall looks are totally traditional, and it does need a bit of patience to pop onto a rim. It’s mid weight and fractionally undersized, but the hand-laid construction of the 320tpi carcass that gives it its name creates a beautifully supple ride more like a 28mm tyre. Add a generally tough construction and it’s an excellent tyre for rougher roads. It’s much more trustworthy in the wet that most similar tyres, and while its quiet smoothness can feel slow it actually rolls okay in head to head tests.
