PROLOGO NDR DIMENSION CPC TIROX

Railed it

Tirox is the name Prologo uses for the alloy-steel tubing on the Dimension. The shape of the Prologo rails and fixing points offer around 1cm more fore-aft adjustment than the Power Arc, which is to be expected as at 245mm the Dimension is 5mm longer than Specialized’s saddle.

Down to hull

Like the Power, Prologo also uses carbon fibre for its hull construction. The rail fittings on the Dimension are wider at the rear and the hull itself changes thickness, tapering significantly towards the central channel. The stepped-down nose has a box section underneath into which the rails are bonded. At the rear, Prologo uses its U-clip system where you can add a mount point for a variety of accessories.

Padding around

The NDR in the name means this version comes with deeper high-density padding. It was developed for MTB XC world champion Manuel Fumic, though it’s aimed at both onand off-road. Even with the extra padding, the 207.1g weight is suitably light. The PAS channel is one of the best designs around – wide, wellshaped and runs the full length of the saddle. The real winner here, however, is the CPC cover. The tiny volcano-shaped rubberised tubes – think octopus suckers – offer incredible grip in the wet; in hot weather, the separation from the saddle surface keeps you more comfortable downstairs on long rides. It’s a shame that it’s only available in 143mm but, if it fits your sit bones, then we’d recommend it.
