ROUTE ONE
Dales daredevil 61 miles Fleet Moss, fab valleys Big, dramatic climbs, huge descents and superb views all day long. Up (up, up) past Ribblehead Viaduct and down to Hawes (coffee), then Fleet Moss’s brutal ascent. ROUTE TWO
Delightful Dent 50 miles Quintessential Yorkshire dale Lots of climbing amid stunning scenery. A65 to Kirkby Lonsdale (cafes) then remarkable, uninhabited Barbondale to booktown Sedbergh (cake). ROUTE THREE
Walk or just view 26 miles Three Peaks Easy half day with optional extra walks up and down the Three Peaks. Across via Clapham (coffee) to Horton (can walk Pen-y-Ghent, three-hour return).
