ELITE SUITO

£649.99 Making training easy

-

WEIGHT 14.5kg FLYWHEEL 3.5kg CASSETTE INCLUDED Yes NOISE 73dB

Elite’s new competitively priced trainer is designed to make life easy. This unit with its carry handle and folding legs is ready to use out of the box and comes complete with an 11-speed Shimano 105 cassette.

The robust Suito weighs 14.5kg, which makes it easy to move around, yet has enough heft to keep it stable. It’s 57cm long, 76cm wide and is 49cm tall in use, but this reduces to 20cm wide for easy storage.

It works with all the main wheel and hub sizes and comes with adaptors for 142mm thru-axles. A front wheel block also comes in the box. Campag users will need to purchase a different freehub. The same with 148x12mm thru-axle, 135x10mm and 135x12mm axle adaptors, but there’s no need for any sensors because the Suito covers cadence, power and speed.

It all connects via ANT+, FE-C and Bluetooth with any app or software and works with the usual hardware. It’s easy to set up and Elite even gives you a one-month free trial to Zwift.

The Suito offers gradients of up to 15 per cent and up to 1900 watts resistance, which will be plenty for most. The resistance when climbing or accelerating is good without any sharp spikes, thanks to the 3.5kg flywheel. This flywheel isn’t as hefty as some of its similarly priced competitors, but the ride feel wasn’t that different and definitely isn’t a deal breaker. It also has a power meter link so you can hook up your power meter with the trainer for consistent data feedback. Sound levels are fairly good, too.
