WEIGHT 19kg FLYWHEEL 6kg CASSETTE INCLUDED No NOISE 65dB

The Drivo II is Elite’s top-ofthe-range interactive smart trainer coming with a price tag to match. Out of the box there’s little assembly required to fit the legs but it’s nothing complicated, Elite even supplies the tools, making life easy.

It’s a big unit measuring 76cm long x 79cm wide (with the legs folded out) x 53cm tall. It’s compatible with 9- to 11-speed setups from all the major players and will accommodate 130mm, 135mm and 142x12mm axles.

Setting up the Drivo II couldn’t be easier, connecting via ANT+, FE-C and Bluetooth with any kind of app and software, and working with smartphones, tablets and computers whether iOS, Android, MacOS or Windows.

From the first pedal stroke the Elite feels rock solid, thanks to its weight and wide-sitting legs. Even out of the saddle it remains firm for a positive ride. The ride ‘feel’ itself is also impressive. Even after a couple of hours it doesn’t feel dead or harsh on the body as some trainers can.

The Drivo II offers a staggering 3600 watts of resistance at 60kph. This is a truly massive amount and even the most monster-legged sprinters won’t run out of power. The Elite can also simulate inclines from zero to an extremely challenging 24 per cent. Changes in power and incline are impressively good here.

As are the low noise levels.

The Drivo II hits all the right notes in terms of performance and is certainly fun to ride, but at this eye-watering price that’s what you’d hope for.
