The Marshall family came together to win the Deniliquin South School Charity Golf Day on Sunday.

The quartet of brothers Todd, Tony and Sam Marshall, with cousin Mark Rourke, scored 541⁄ to win the ambrose event.

The day saw 22 teams compete, with a total of 88 players to raise just under $3000 for the school.

South School principal Greg Danckert said the money will be used by the P&C committee.

‘‘The money will go towards things like IT resources, subsidising major excursions and other needs around the school,’’ he said.

‘‘The school would like to thank Alana Tilders, who organised the day, as well as the Deni Golf Club and local businesses that supported the day.’’

The next charity event on the Deniliquin Golf Club’s calendar is the Legacy Charity Day on Sunday, November 12.

The following Sunday, November 19, is the Channel 4 Change Charity Day, supporting Brenda Norman’s English Channel swim to raise awareness of mental health.
