Many studies show that 50 per cent of people with chronic diseases in the developed world fail to take their prescribed medication. From this knowledge, Sydney-based start-up Perx has developed a NSW government-supported app that sends users reminders and follow-ups. It rewards users who “adhere to their medication regimen” with petrol vouchers, movie tickets and gift cards.
