Lower-carb eating JUST GOT EASIER

Diabetic Living - - SPUD CLUB -

If you’re a potato lover you might have been giving spuds a miss – worried they were too high in carbs. Good news! Spud Lite is a new potato that has

25 per cent less carbs than an average potato.

Spud Lite is a golden, creamy potato that’s bursting with nutrition, is super tasty and incredibly easy to prepare. Providing a light, creamy and non-earthy flavour when mashed, and a crisp, crunchy, soft pillow texture when roasted or fried, Spud Lite’s versatility makes it the complete all-rounder.

Grown in South Australia, this potato variety has come from natural cross-pollination without any genetic modification. The growing period is

20-30 per cent shorter than most other varieties, which means it needs less maintenance and feeding. It has also consistently shown that it has a longer shelf life than many other popular potato varieties – meaning less greening and less wastage.

A further addition to the Spud Lite family is the small version packed with the same amount of nutrition and taste, the Baby Spud Lite.

Baby Spud Lite, like Spud Lite, is 25 per cent lower in carbs than the average potato and is perfect to use in your favourite potato recipes.
