On finding a healthcare team

Find a team you feel comfortable with. It may take time, but it’s important they are on the same page as you. It’s critical my team understands I will set the agenda for consultations as I drive my diabetes over 99 per cent of the time. When looking for an endocrinologist, I had things that were important to me: I wanted someone knowledgeable about women’s health and who was at the cutting edge of diabetes information, research and technologies.
