Set the exposure

Use a low ISO setting for good-quality images. Set an aperture to suit the subject. (See Expert Advice opposite.) Shutter speed is largely irrelevant because the camera is tripod-mounted, but to avoid blurring at slow speeds, make sure the subject is completely still.
