Have a go at infrared
For her infrared work, Paula uses a G7 that has been converted to full-time infrared work using a 720nm filter on the camera’s sensor – a good all-round option for both black-and-white and false-colour infrared images. Although summer, with its blue skies and plentiful green foliage, is arguably the peak time for infrared photography, Paula says that she gets great results in spring too. Look for buildings, water and sky to add darker colours to a picture that will contrast with the bright white foliage.
