U is for Unique images
Well-known landmarks and sights have been photographed thousands of times. Although it’s natural to want a classic view, it’s also a great challenge to seek out a fresh take.
You may base your version on a technical approach – like using an unusual lens like a fish-eye – or on an artistic angle, such as using a shallow depth of field, or splitting the subject into three separate shots for a triptych. More immediate creative treatments could be compositional techniques like framing the subject within the shot, or finding a backlit angle to capture it as a silhouette. Whatever you choose, think about how you can shoot the subject in a new way.
