Clean tr ipod

-

When I use my tripod on beaches, what’s the best way to clean it? David O’Dowd I use the old trick of putting it in the shower with all the legs fully open!

The clean water helps to wash away any salt deposits and bits of grit. I’ve also been known to hose a tripod down in the garden if I think it’s particularly bad; then I’ll leave it to drip-dry for a while before wiping it down with an old towel. It’s amazing how much sand and dirt is left behind!

If you don’t look after your tripod, you will find the legs become harder to extend or put away, and locks start to fail, so it is definitely worth a quick wash down after trips.
