Pre-visualise with presets
Using a constant light source such as these LEDs is a great way to see how the lighting will look in your finished image. But you can go one step further and use one of your camera’s presets to help pre-visualise the final effect too. Setting your camera’s preset mode to Monochrome can help you ‘see’ the image as a black-andwhite image on the camera’s rear display. It’s worth noting that if you shoot in raw (which we recommend for this kind of image), your raw file will still hold all the colour information. However, if you only shoot JPEG, you won’t be able to recover any colour detail at a later date if you change your mind.
