Cool colourings

The colour scheme in this image – made up largely of muted blues and yellows – is reminiscent of romantic landscape paintings. The chromatic palette also hints at the seasonality. “It was October,” says Rob, “and the point is over 2,200 metres above sea level, so it was shivering cold.” Warm foreground tones contrast with predominantly cold colours in the background to create a balanced frame.
