Latest push to ease authorities’ concerns over drone operation in sensitive locations

DRONE specialist DJI is introducing new features to its AeroScope remote identification system, which acts as an ‘electronic licence

plate’ for drones. The updates to the DJI Go 4 app and DJI drone firmware enable drone pilots to broadcast their unique user identification code (UUID) in addition to fight operations, such as location, altitude, speed and direction to authorities in order to ease any concerns about their flying activities. The default setting is not to broadcast this information, but it can be switched on at any time. www.dji.com
