NATURAL FRAMES

WHY USE A BORDER?

Added information

Frames often give your photos context. For example, the architecture or foliage that surrounds a picture can convey the location.

Eliminate distractions

A darker frame that borders the image will generally isolate your subject and draw the eye directly towards the main area of interest.

Create depth

By including a frame in the foreground, this adds an extra layer of depth and dimension. Take the viewer all the way through your shot!

For a sense of mood

Frames don’t have to run around every edge of your image, nor do they have to be in focus. Shooting over the shoulders (or between heads) of people, for example, can really add an air of mystery and ambience.
