THREE AND EASY
A trio of new EOS cameras is unveiled
CANON is adding a new mirrorless camera and two new beginner-friendly DSLRs to
its range. Designed to appeal to smartphone and point-andshoot photographers, the EOS M50 (£539) is said to be Canon’s most advanced CSC yet. It features an APS-C sized 24.1MP CMOS sensor, a vari-angle touchscreen and 4K video – a first for the Canon mirrorless line-up. Joining the M50 are two budget DSLRs: the EOS 2000D (£369) and the EOS 4000D (£329). Like the new M50, the 2000D has a 24.1MP APS-C sensor, while the 4000D uses an 18MP APS-C sensor.
Both DSLR models feature a 500-shot battery life, nine AF points, Full HD video and Wi-Fi, although the 2000D gets NFC and a larger rear LCD too. www.canon.co.uk
