1 Textures
You might not use Textures too much – they’re made more with 3D artists in mind – but it’s still worth exploring this area.
2 Search Filters
With thousands of effects to choose from, this simple search box can save you a lot of time when you’re looking for the perfect filter.
3 Filter Library
If the 5,900 effects in Filter Forge 7 aren’t enough, you can choose from thousands more when you visit the online Filter Library.
4 Filter Editor
Click this button to access and edit the settings behind the filter you’ve selected, then save the results as a Custom Filter.
5 Presets
When you are editing a filter, you can save combinations of settings that you like as presets, then re-open the filter later and choose a preset.
6 Before & After
When you are looking at different filters or presets, this window gives you Before and After versions so you can instantly see the effect each filter has.
7 Apply
If you use Filter Forge as a plugin, this button reads ‘Apply’ and returns the processed image back to Photoshop, ready to keep working on...
8 Save Image As
...If you use Filter Forge as a stand-alone application, this button reads ‘Save Image As’ and saves the processed image as a file you can open later.
