New camera news, including a new date for TPS 2021, and much more

The Photography Show and The Video Show 2020 will now be going online, with a virtual photo and video festival taking place on 20-21 September 2020. An online platform faithful to the live show-going experience will bring the event to a wider, global audience.

The decision to hold this year’s show online comes amid the obvious difficulties stemming from the ongoing global pandemic. The Photography Show and The Video Show will return in physical guise next year, though, in a new autumn slot of 18-21 September 2021, at the NEC in Birmingham.

“While we believe that there’s nothing quite comparable to the benefits of the live show,” said Jonny Sullens, head of events at Future plc [theparentcompanyof Digital Camera], we know that the decision to take The Photography Show & The Video Show online this year and return to the NEC in 2021 is the best solution for our community during these unprecedented times.”

The lack of physical presentation won’t impede the ability of virtual visitors to visit stands, watch interesting talks and presentations, listen to advice from industry gurus, network in lounge areas, and see the latest products in action.

All entry tickets and passes booked or confirmed for the March 2020 event will be valid for the 2021 show dates. photographyshow.com
