3 Fire up the software and take a test shot

Canon’s EOS Utility offers several functions, but we’re here for Remote Shooting. This opens a floating panel that displays key camera settings – mousing over the shutter button in the top right reveals the exposure scale. Click to fire a shot and a small preview of the image will open. If you’re using Canon’s Digital Photo Professional software, then open the image to access all the editing parameters.
