Rapper Jay-Z (above) reveals that his mother is a lesbian in the lyrics to a track on his new album 4:44. Beyoncé’s husband, known for his support for LGBT rights, includes the words: “Mama had four kids but she’s a lesbian / Had to pretend so long that she’s a thespian” on the track Smile.

Neighbours hunk Matt Wilson (above) stuns British TV audiences with comments that his gay character in the soap is designed to “act straight and normal. When I say normal, I mean he’s not like the characters on Modern Family, where they are flamboyant and camp and they walk around tiptoeing.” Wilson apologises after social media users criticize his choice of words.

British actor Andrew Garfield (above) declares: “I am a gay man right now just without the physical act!” He makes the comments to an audience member who had just seen him perform in the play Angels In America in London. “Maybe I’ll have an awakening later in my life, which I’m sure will be wonderful and I’ll get to explore that part of the garden.”
