WHERE: NEW YORK

Because of its storied past, every corner of New York has served as a location for the LGBT narrative. While Greenwich Village remains the city’s historical gay headquarters, much of the current night scene has migrated towards Hell’s Kitchen, the true hub of gay life with its glamorous bars. But other gayborhoods have been established outside of Manhattan, too. Check out Williamsburg or Bushwick and hop on a train to Fire Island Pines and Cherry Groves for your weekend getaway at the beach.

WHERE: LOS ANGELES

When you see Los Angeles at night it shines – the beacon everybody’s drawn to. Watch the sun sink into the ocean at Venice Beach and go bar touring down the strip of Santa Monica Boulevard crossing WeHo. There you’ll find a handful of gay shops, restaurants and bars. Check out the alternative gay scene in Downtown LA and historic Silver Lake. Everywhere you go you’ll risk bumping into faces from the industry, or you may even feel like you’re in a TV show yourself!

WHERE: SAN FRANCISCO

With its stunning seaside beauty, hilltop parks and bridge spanning across the bay, San Francisco will wow first-time visitors. While the Castro’s status as a gay-mecca is well-deserved, make sure you check out the most alternative gay-scene in South of Market, referred to as SoMa. On a sunny day, rent a bike and ride across the Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito and have the yummiest tacos with a view of the bay. Be sure to visit the city during Pride season or the Folsom Street Fair.
