Meet men from around the world on a pristine beach where everyone’s in swimmers!
IMAGINE LANDING on a pristine tropical beach – where swimwear is the uniform – and meeting like-minded gay men from around the world for days of partying and relaxation. That’s the TropOut experience in a nutshell.
Their next event is in New Caledonia in December on a private island. The “long gay weekend” includes parties on the island and a Reef Party on a floating club.
“This is a relaxed day party that lifts as the day goes on,” says TropOut’s Jamie Hutchinson. “We arrive by water taxi, chill on sun lounges, snorkel over the reef and, as the day progresses, the tunes lift and the guys hit the dance floor.”
In 2019 TropOut will host the official post-White Party Bangkok New Year recovery week in Koh Samui in a relaxed, boutique beachfront resort.
“We offer something upscale that has a focus on people getting to know each other,” says Jamie. “Because of our group size, we’re able to focus on individual experiences and deliver unique parties, such as on luxury yachts and at small secluded beaches. This creates an environment where it’s easy to genuinely connect with a range of people.”
Between 70 to 100 guys generally stay in the provided accommodation but the parties can attract up to 500, and the feedback has been great. “We’ve received messages from guests telling us that they’ve had a life-changing experience. That’s very rewarding for us,” says Jamie, who describes the average TropOut guest as being 25 to 45, professional, and from a variety of backgrounds. “So far our events have been very friendly and nonjudgemental. Our guests love fun and living life to the max.”
Is there more to TropOut than boys, beaches, parties? “Boys, beaches and parties are important to us but we aim to deliver experiences that balance unique parties with opportunities to unwind and explore. We offer morning yoga, relaxed days at the beach, and cultural and sightseeing experiences.
“We had guys from 21 different countries at our last event. It’s important that we have this international feel so the guys can share experiences and meet interesting people from different backgrounds. Diversity is the spice of life!”
