He loves barebacking and brunch.

DNA: Tell us about your background? Skyy Knox: I’m a Canadian boy from a small northern town named Sudbury in Ontario. My family is of Russian heritage. I started travelling for work at an early age as a dancer. I’ve been lucky enough to see so much of this beautiful world we live in and am so happy porn keeps me exploring new places.

What brought you to porn?

Soon after I decided to stop my dance career I was approached through my social media… if I had any interest in filming porn. It didn’t take me long before I said yes and was filming my first scene with Men.com. I then moved to Montréal as it seemed that was where all the porn boys were living. You’re Canadian but spend a lot of time in America. Are there interesting differences between the gay communities in both countries?

They’re very similar. Both have very strong Pride and enjoy big entertainment. I, however, love the American gay scene much more as they seem to put just that little bit more into what’s going on as far as more go-go dancers in clubs and big events. Canada still does a great job hosting parties and Toronto is defiantly in the top three Prides in the world. I will always be a proud Canadian but my future and true love is America.

How is your social life? Do you have a crew you run with or a few good, close friends? My best friend growing up and to this day is Paul Charbonneau. We met in the cast of Footloose: The Musical. I’m so happy we’ve stayed connected all these years and truly love him. My other best friend/porn husband is, of course, Johnny V. We are completely made for each other and he is the best part of my life. We travel and work together like no other. If you want two guys to host a kick-ass event then call us because we always put on a show.

What about social media?

I’m very up and down with social media. I go through phases where I’m good and post lots of content and really connect with my fans, to needing some personal space and taking a break from it all.

How do you feel about the self-promoting fan sites where porn performers can create and manage their own content?

At first I was not into it at all. I thought it would change what I loved about porn too much. I currently have an onlyfans page

and it’s a great business for us and a new way to please and share with our fans. I do, however, think some people take it too far and it can often make someone you were a fan of not so… [appealing]. I would always rather choose a professional porn studio, though. That’s [what makes] a true porn star! You’re widely recognized for your work. Do you ever miss your days of anonymity before porn fame?

It is always amazing when I go out and see fellow industry people and, of course, all the fans. I will always say hi and take photos or even have a drink with a fan. I’m super approachable and couldn’t be happier to meet everyone. As for missing life before porn, I don’t. I truly am a person who loves all things new, so I don’t tend to look back, only forward. Bareback is the industry standard now rather than condoms. How do you feel about that?

I love bareback porn. It is way hotter than condom porn. Most people would agree. I, however, am so happy I started in this industry doing condom porn as it felt classic and sexy. It made me focus on making the movie and scene truly something special to watch other than just dick and ass. I will be doing my first bareback scene shortly and am very excited to be doing so.

Are most performers using PrEP?

Yes, almost all.

Have you seen an increase in the STIs that PrEP doesn’t protect against?

Yes, and I’m very selective with who I hook-up with these days. Since the launch of onlyfans, STIs have spread. This is another reason why, I feel, some people have taken onlyfans too far. Do you think the studios still doing condom porn are doing the right thing, or should they get on the bareback bandwagon?

I think they are doing the right thing. No one should rush to change unless they are ready. Tell us something about you that most people wouldn’t know.

I have always wanted to become a professional chef. I like to throw dinner parties and cook for family and friends. One of my dreams is to own a beautiful brunch restaurant. I love seeing the faces of people enjoying my food.

What is the biggest assumption people make about you?

Most people think I’m a sex addict, when truly I’m not. I do love sex and connecting with beautiful men but that’s not why I do porn. Why do you make porn?

I’m a performer at heart and making these movies is my true calling and passion.

Is there anything about you out there in public you wish wasn’t?

Of course! Nobody likes old photos of themselves. It is hard to look at sometimes, especially as I’ve had a big transformation over the years. I, of course, will always love myself and will take amazing care of my mind, body and spirit.

Outside of porn, what are you doing?

I mostly travel, either hosting events or dancing. I’m actually getting ready to perform in a magic and illusion show, playing the part of the magician’s assistant and, no, I won’t be getting cut in half.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Married, probably to a Latino. Living on a beach and really enjoying the love of my life and living everyday being happy.

Onlyfans is good business, but a professional porn studio is what makes a true porn star!
