TROYE SIVAN –
Fresh from his appearance on Stonewall
Gives Back – the live-streaming concert for the
LGBTQ+ nightlife community industry directly impacted by covid-19 alongside Todrick Hall, Alan Cumming and Cyndi Lauper – Troye, complete with non-blond locks, returns!
Originally set for release later this year, Troye considered Take Yourself Home in a new context as he headed home to Australia to self-isolate and decided to share it early.
With a lush acoustic version of Take Yourself Home being debuted at Stonewall Gives Back, Troye subsequently created a dance-tastic video in quarantine with choreography by Kyle Hanagami. Troye’s fans then began posting thousands of their own #takeyourselfhome videos on TikTok.
As the first taste of new Troye music, it suggests 2020 will finally be the moment in which his star goes stratospheric. Completists should also investigate his moody collab with K-pop boy band BTS, Louder Than Bombs, included on their recent Map Of The Soul: 7 album.
